  Great place to stay, but not allowed to have camp fire.

  Despite this it's a beautiful spot to camp. Just make sure you don't need power to do anything (generators can be run between 10 and 12, 2 and 4; c'mon guys, who the hell needs power during those times?!) And carry a LOT of gerry cans.

  We have camped extensively in National Parks and have a few reservations with the way they market Congo Campground.

  One of the most magic little spots where the ocean meets the sea it hasn't changed heaps since I first came great in the quiet times of the year the most stunning sun sets happen hear over the river the sight is very shielded from most bad wind fronts so keeps you a little warmer and able to enjoy sitting out till late .

  Firstly, though the website States 'amenities block', there are no showers at all (only stalls to hang a shower bag in, if you have one). There are, however, flushing toilets.

  There is no hot water in the kitchen area, not even to do dishes. All water is now non potable, which they fail to mention on npnsw website. The closest water is in town, at caltex or the town dump point.

  There is no security ,no boom gate , anybody can drive in or walk in at any time.

  Great camping spot . However be aware a number of thefts are reported to have occurred including boats ,motors,wetsuits ,beer from a fridge ,anything not locked away can be a target.

  There is an unsupervised free camping site approx 500m north across the creek that has all sorts frequent it.
